Saint Doulaughs Church

My friend Philip Doherty called to my house last Wednesday. We are neighbours and have a mutual intest in art. Philip drove out the Malahide road and parked the car near the nursing home. We put our tree legged stools down on the grass with the wall to support our backs. Across the road we could see Saint Doulaughs Church. What’s so special about Plein Air painting?  Well, just sooo much really.

SEPA Paint Out - Courtown Harbour, Co. Wexford 4/9/11



It was a "tale of two days", today, for our paint out in Courtown Harbour. The morning looked a little threatening, and, sure enough, by lunchtime we were racing for cover as the heavens opened!!The afternoon however saw some brightness on the horizon, and the sun came out to warm us!
