Last year was a banner year for me despite the economy.  I won the silver award for "Plein Air Rockies 2011" held in Estes Park, Colorado.  Oh the pleasure of sitting at 12,000 feet painting above treeline.  Such beautiful inspirational days in the clear air and sunshine! Here is a personal note, to myself: I am a grandmother of seven, five of whom live across the street. Weekends are packed. In addition, volunteering commitments are at least seventeen hours a week. I try to go to an art class twice a month. Seven years ago I was asked to do a one-woman gallery show, which I did, and made money from, so I know some people like my art.
