quick studies from summer 2011

 The weather was terrible and I didn't get many opportunities to get out. Here are some studies I managed to get done. Most of them are experiments with my new Pan Pastels. The jury's still out on whether this will be a medium I can embrace; it's still a bit dusty and I need a mask indoors, and the wands, like brushes, are never as satisfying as holding the medium directly in my hand.
