Workhop January 2012

I will be conducting a 3 day workshop in January of 2012. Here are the details:

3 Day . Concept to Canvas

In this workshop we will start in the studio by breaking down paintings to their core abstract elements to help you understand design and why certain pieces work or fail. I will discuss and demonstrate these key concepts. This will be the initial stage that sets the path toward your next painting.

Then we will go outside on location where I will assist you while you begin to paint one to two pieces practicing what you learned about design. Then the last day we will be back in the studio where you will use your smaller outdoor study to begin a larger painting.

You will see why design is crucial, and gathering key information in the field using the core principals in art will make for a powerful larger painting.

Once we achieve this together you will have a better understanding to empower you to incorporate your own vision, and make wiser decisions in your painting process.

We will paint from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m daily.
