Great drawings on your page, such gesture and form, with feeling. Nice strokes, strong and committed. I am not sure yet how to use this website, and get around and look at others works. Thanks for friending me.
You do wonderful work. Thank you for requesting to be my neighbor on here. I love your baseball series. This is the season for us to get out there and plein air. I'll keep an eye for your new stuff. *** carol
thanks for the contact Mary, I'm lucky to live in an inspiring area of the South Pacific...and what a treat to be living in Maine, I have always wanted to paint in your part of US but never made it...ben
Thanks Mary! It was a very Cold Day when I painted that one .... If you're ever up this way, I'll take you painting in the Old Growth Rain Forest. The challenge there, is getting the scale of these HUGE tree's!
Mary - Thanks very much for your nice comments. I like having a painting "friend" in Maine, opposite end of the country. I really enjoyed the freshness of your work. I totally agree with your comments on snow painting, although I think it might be a little easier to paint in the snow out here in WA state, it's rarely below freezing in the day, even in the mountains. A little glycerin in the water or directly added to the paint usually works.
I will be in Harrison ME visiting a cousin this August 24-26th, and then in Mass 22-23. Any chance we could meet up? The paintouts you mentioned sound great. Hope we get to meet one day. Come on out!
