I would love to join Plein air painters Gorgia. I am new to plein air painting and I am looking for a group to go paint with. Thanks for the invitation. What do I need to do to join?

Hi Don, thank you. I signed on in order to see if there was a preference file on pleinartists as the Mac person suggested that I might do something about that to restore the links I lost. Would you forward the suggestions to Ning and ask them if I can restore the images on my Mac?

Here is what happened. I was on my site, everything was normal. It was just after you took off for the west. I saw one painting that I needed to delete and re photograph. I looked everywhere for a way to delete an image photo and saw none. Then in a sort of idle move, as I would do on my software, iWeb, i tried to drag the image. Before I knew it, all the other images came with it and even the banner and all disappeared. That is why some of the people on the DVMUG said they must be there somewhere. But that was after the fact, after I wrote to the person you put in charge, and after I saw Ning and the help menu of 36 pages there. So my answer to your question is yes, in a sense I was responsible for making that happen. Finally, just before I really did research in Ning, I decided to unsubscribe for the site. After I looked in Ning, I saw the way to delete an image, and I need not have unsubscribed. That unsubscribing was another way of deleting everything. But what is odd, is that when I signed up again, I saw that my site was still bare of a Plein air banner, and I still couldn't see any of the images from any of the other artists, except for the slide show on the homepage. That is the only thing I can see on the whole site, on any page, except for text. So in a way, I know that the images are somewhere, probably on my Mac Book Pro laptop. It's a real puzzle, because when I open on my Dell Windows laptop, www.pleinairartists.ning.com I can see everyone's site with images and the banner as well. So it is only on my Mac the problem still exists of not seeing images.

Hi Don, Well, I read your email and I tried another browser. I am now on Safari and I can see everything. I just can't access it from Firefox - yet. Perhaps I'll write to Mozilla if I have time and then I can figure out with them, where the pictures "went" on Firefox. As far as I know, on a Mac, when I do Repair Utilities, and I also have the software "Cocktail" for cleaning up the cache, that is not the problem as far as not being able to view any photos or images on Firefox, after I tried to drag that one image. It is something else. Thanks for your email, and so I am happy now, because at least I can access pleinairartists on Safari!

Yes, we get so many comments about our town - but it was named after a timber baron, Abner Weed, who made a fortune and now with the timber industry like it is we almost have a deserted town with a wonderful view of Mt. Shasta (14,00+ feet) in my front window...it's a wonderful place to live.   Our winters are cold, snowy and very windy but when possible the rest of the year I love to be outdoor with my paints (oils and pastels) and enjoy traveling to new sites when money and time allows.   Thanks for the welcome comments.   Willo

I really enjoyed finding and looking at your fine work. You draw beautifully. I especially like your water colors; you capture the scene in such a free manner. I agree that there is no substitute for working on location, plein air. However I'm finding as my years increase it is becoming more difficult to haul a portable easel, paints etc. into the landscape.

oh, yes, she regularly sends me emails. also, a person called alyssa. I googled them and found both names on a website called nerdbusters or something like that (nerd something). There were several google hits saying that Natasha and Alyssa had not received any gifts yet. There were pictures on the nerd - something website.

Hello Donald.  Thank you for the welcome.  I have to be honest in the fact that i don't paint but collect.  I very much enjoy plein air and have made great friends via the network of artists.  I enjoy the painters so much i'm offering $4,200 in awards for a show upcoming in Cheyenne Wyoming.  Prairies to Peaks, a Plein Air in Wyoming.  I'll find my way around the site and say hello to some of my buddies here...

Hello again Donald, as I have been exploring the site I see there is a place for donations and an ask for more funds for promoting an event.  I would gladly pay for some promotion of the event i'm hosting in Cheyenne in August.   What would be appropriate for a call for entries, as they are due May 2nd, promotion from you?  Please advise. ~ Harvey
