Don, I seem to be unable to send replies to PM's and emailed you...but.. (I have emailed you at yahoo now, I didn't realise I was replying to a blind email account!. I was awaiting a reply re: have you booked accommodation. REgarding the original answer... accommodation; We have a spare room (Double Bed) for a couple of days if you don't mind a madhouse and two dogs.. :D There is lots to do while you are here and I hope to be free to paint, guide, etc. Can you let me know your dates in Dublin and where you are staying, or if you would like to stay here. I am hoping to go down to Wexford also, depending on my fishing duties (National team practice) but either way I would love to meet you in Dublin. There are a number of spots for some plein air, there are Galleries galore, open studios at IMMA (modern art museum) in Kilmainham, and St Annes park in Raheny, (North side) amongst other delights. Regards, Greg.
Hey, Donald, welcome to the Blue Ridge Mountain Art Association. It is a wonderful organization and Sarah Vermeer is very supportive and so positive. Makes me feel like a winner every time i go up and paint. see you sometime
You wanted to know if anyone made a policeman laugh. It's kind of a long story but here goes. I was out painting and got a call fm my mom who already came in at the airport. I had kept painting even though I knew I should leave and pick here up. I threw everything in the car and sped around the corner and ran face to face w a police officer. He asked for my licsense which I could not find because it was loose in my purse. He asked for my registration which my husband took out to put the new one in. That was not good for 5 days. He asked what I was doing before he pulled my over and if I was late for something. He went to his car, came back and gave me a warning. He said, " By the way, you've got paint all across your face and walked away laughing. I looked in the mirror and I had a big yellow hand print all across my face. Typing this on my phone and I can't edit it so ....
Hi Don, I have joined the site in the past couple of days. I uploaded an event for October, but the image was cut off top and bottom. I would like to replace it with a square format image. Can you help me figure out how to do this? Thanks, Lynda Ellis
Just checking in on the Braves— I love your work and your enthusiasm. I've only been been doing plein air for about 6 months now. I took a class from John Guernsey through the museum last spring
and I really was influenced. I've been painting all my life but learned for the first time how to really paint outdoors. Since then I've spent every free weekend trying to get good enough to be professional. I still have a ways to go but it's a labor of love and I really don't have any choice —I'm obsessed. I just sent my ap into Roswell for the competition at the end of Sept—I suppose you are are already in. Do you do some weekend painting in the area? I would enjoy getting together anytime. Also I run my own small ad agency out of my basement — I make a decent living but would rather paint. Kimbrel just set the record! I live up off Sandy Plains and have some great spots near here. Anytime.
Many Congrats on reaching the 2000 membership mark Don........Well deserved, and the result of many hours labour of love!!
Best Wishes,
Karen

What a wonderful website and community you have created! I just joined and have barely scratched the surface.
I am having a problem adding to my page. When I click on "Customize your page" or "Add content," and then I try to do something, I get the circle with the line through it icon, and it won't let me add content or do anything.
I have to say!!! Waaauuwwww very nice website and paintings!!!!! Keep up the good painting, I think it will be something you love :) no just kidding.. VERY VERY nice!!

Hi Don,
I would have joined sooner but there just does not seem to be enough hours in the day. Are you going to be in the Smith-Gilbert Paint out this week?
