Hi, I'm looking for places to paint & perhaps you have sites in & near Put Valley. I've lived here 4 years, love it, but I'm sure there are sites I've not visited/painted. Suggestions would be welcome. Hope you are painting happily in Fla.

Hi Robert - My mom is planning on renting a condo either Oct-Nov. or after the new year for a couple of months. Man, I love the weather down there! Where's your favorite place to paint at? Terry
TERRY MY FAVORITE of all places to paint is The Loop, actually The Ormond Beach Loop. I it is old Florida and very scenic. About twenty minutes north of Daytona. In Daytona, I like Beach St. with the park along the Intracoastal waterway, And the interesting store fronts. The city marina is also on Beach St. and a side street goes into a nic e park behind the marina parking area. And of course the beaches over on the A.1.A. side.
Sounds like a wonderful trip! Good thing about the museum board is that it is both lighter and less bulky than most other panels and you can make a lot of panels for not much money--just take a day or so to make 5-8 large pieces. You can cut 16--8 x 10's--from one board. Depending on your palette, you have to tape them onto a piece of foam core for painting. Just take a few pieces of foam core a little bigger than the panel.
I think this is where I purchased last time:

You are kidding! How could you give up watercolor. I guess what I like about it is that it can be so spontaneous looking and free. However, I do miss the colors you can get with oil and, seemingly, no other medium.
Yes, Greece is fantastic and Mel is a such a fine painter. Good workshop so far. Johanna
Sorry, I just saw you message. Yes! It is low country, on Hilton Head Island. I meet weekly, when I am down there, with the low country plein air society. It's a great group of talented painters.
Thanks Robert. Sorry about the very late reply. I somehow missed this completely. I am justan amateur. I will post a couple of new ones in the next few days. Best regards. Elias

I envy you - painting in Florida. I am from California and so miss the palm trees - none of those in Colorado.

Glad you want to be friends. Looks like the friend link is not working though as you suspected.
