Sylvio really conveys the urgent drive of the plein air experience, from the braving of the elements to painting the salty air at the coast.

Sylvio -This is fabulous ! Great piece on you. I used to go to Winterlude and skate on the Canal. Its great to see all these wonderful familiar places and you out there painting them with skaters all over the place. I loved the endless stream of skaters and all the life on the canal. I paint out doors in winter and I live on the coast of Maine near that light house you painted shown in the video! Small world .

Thank you Mary for your comment. The Rideau Canal is truly a wonder. I have not been to the coast of Maine for a few years nut I yearn to go back soon, maybe next summer. I will let you know when I do. Great place to paint ! I really enjoyed panting around Jonestown and Beale's Island. Painted there with George Carpenter. Did you know George ? He had a studio shack in Perkins Cove during the summer. Best regards.
